Kratom Resin

The quality of kratom resin can vary from vendor to vendor. We've heard great reports on Arena Ethnobotanicals kratom quality. As the site states, their kratom resin is rock hard with zero water content.

Making Kratom Resin

Kratom resin is prepared by boiling down very large amounts of fresh kratom leaf. The mixture is boiled for hours and then reduced until is a very thick tar like substance is formed. The tar like substance is poured into shallow metal containers and once cooled is ready for shipping.

This process is normally done where the leaf grows (Thailand, Bali, Indonesia etc). Fresh leaves are needed to make a quality resin. Fresh leafs are a lot heavier than dry ones so it would not make commercial sense to ship these across the globe and prepare kratom resin in the country of final sale.

Working with Kratom Resin

The resin can be quite hard, but can be softened by warming slightly and then cut with a knife. You can also break the resin using a toffee hammer. A friend of mine, places a small piece of kratom resin under his toast on a morning. This softens the resin, which he then rolls into ball and swallows down with a cup of coffee !

Kratom Pies

Kratom pies are basically Kratom resin poured into convenient pie shaped lumps. These are being discontinues as the weight of each pie was too inconsistent.
